The Lochindaal Hotel in Port Charlotte is one of Islay's most traditional
hotels. It is a family
run establishment, having been in
the MacLellan family for over 100 years.
The hotel boasts an impressive collection of rare and unusual Islay whiskies
which
can be viewed from the public bar. In the pub there are roaring peat fires and
local musicians regularly entertain the
guests with traditional Scottish music, attracting a merry audience.
The hotel comprises 8 letting rooms and an attractive restaurant which offers
excellent homemade meals using Islay produce.
Children are actively welcomed to the hotel with a
good value kid's menu and walled play area for their enjoyment.
The owners, Iain and Katie have four children of their own and make every
effort to promote a fun, family atmosphere to enable you to get the most out of
your holiday on Islay.
